{"id":396,"date":"2007-02-12T16:06:43","date_gmt":"2007-02-12T15:06:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wp.devco.net\/?p=396"},"modified":"2009-10-09T14:12:46","modified_gmt":"2009-10-09T13:12:46","slug":"web_bookmarks_with_gmarks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.devco.net\/archives\/2007\/02\/12\/web_bookmarks_with_gmarks.php","title":{"rendered":"Web Bookmarks with GMarks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/nxsy.org\/blog\/archives\/2007\/02\/07\/bookmarks-synchronisation-and-gmarks\">Nxsy<\/a> mentioned that he is using <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/bookmarks\/\">Google Bookmarks<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/addons.mozilla.org\/firefox\/2888\/previews\/\">GMarks<\/a> to access it from Firefox and I thought I&#8217;d give it a try since I&#8217;m really not liking del.icio.us at all anymore.<br \/>\nThe problem with del.icio.us isn&#8217;t just that the name is untypable and unpronouncable it&#8217;s lack of good integration with Firefox just spoils it completely.  Yeah they have an extension of their own and there are some others that compliment it, but really it&#8217;s a pain.  I ended up not using my bookmarks because I couldn&#8217;t be bothered with the UI.<br \/>\nSo I exported my del.icio.us and imported it into Google Bookmarks, re-tagged everything and now using GMarks I think I&#8217;ve used my bookmarks more in the last 2 days than in the previous 3 months combined.
