{"id":355,"date":"2006-02-27T19:32:37","date_gmt":"2006-02-27T18:32:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wp.devco.net\/?p=355"},"modified":"2009-10-09T16:54:21","modified_gmt":"2009-10-09T15:54:21","slug":"apple_goodies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.devco.net\/archives\/2006\/02\/27\/apple_goodies.php","title":{"rendered":"Apple Goodies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Over the last few days I&#8217;ve come across a couple of really spiffy mac related apps, I just have to share.<br \/>\nIf you&#8217;re a <a href=\"http:\/\/del.icio.us\/\">del.icio.us<\/a> user you&#8217;ve probably wanted better integration between the Mac and del.icio.us, enter <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rknet.it\/program\/delibar\/\">Delibar<\/a> it sits in your menu bar and provides convenient drop down access to your bookmarks.<br \/>\n<center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rknet.it\/program\/delibar\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.devco.net\/images\/delibarT2.gif\" border=0><\/a><\/center><br \/>\nSome more del.icio.us related goodies, this time to integrate your search results into Spotlight, now I&#8217;m not a big Spotlight user but this might just get me to use it.  <a href=\"http:\/\/ianhenderson.org\/delimport.html\">Delimport<\/a> will suck down all your bookmarks regularly and let you find them using spotlight, it searches tags, descriptions, headings etc.<br \/>\nI&#8217;ve previously linked to some Firefox Intel Mac builds, they&#8217;ve been lagging a bit and not getting updates but it seems now there will be regularly nightlys for Firefox, you can get them <a href=\"http:\/\/www.beatnikpad.com\/archives\/2006\/02\/26\/firefox_macintel\">here<\/a>.  They&#8217;re fast, looks pretty and are tracking the head so they&#8217;re essentially 2.0 betas.  So far I&#8217;m happy with mine, even my extensions worked which is surprising.<br \/>\n<center><a href=\"http:\/\/homepage.mac.com\/alexfrix\/index.html#unique-entry-id-21\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.devco.net\/images\/klingon.jpg\" border=0><\/a><\/center><br \/>\nFor users on Laptops and older Macs they might be running out of drive space, not a problem on my nice 150Gig SATA disk so I did not try these instructions but if you&#8217;re having problems have a look at <a href=\"http:\/\/homepage.mac.com\/alexfrix\/index.html#unique-entry-id-21\">this blog post<\/a> that might help.  Essentially default OS X installs comes with support for every language known to man (including Klingon!?) it also installs tons of printer drivers, removing these will clear up several Gigs worth.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Over the last few days I&#8217;ve come across a couple of really spiffy mac related apps, I just have to share.
