{"id":287,"date":"2005-09-14T09:20:08","date_gmt":"2005-09-14T08:20:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wp.devco.net\/?p=287"},"modified":"2009-10-09T22:16:18","modified_gmt":"2009-10-09T21:16:18","slug":"google_blog_search","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.devco.net\/archives\/2005\/09\/14\/google_blog_search.php","title":{"rendered":"Google Blog Search"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It seems my wishes has come true and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/\">Google<\/a> has finally launched a <a href=\"http:\/\/blogsearch.google.com\/\">Blogsearch<\/a> service.<br \/>\nIt does not have all the bells and whistles of other blog search tools, you cannot restrict searches to OPML feeds etc, but I&#8217;ve never used those features in the competition.  I just do a simple text search and want results.<br \/>\nThe search supports all the usual google search modifiers like <i>link:<\/i> but also has some blog specific stuff: <i>inblogtitle:<\/i>, <i>inposttitle:<\/i>, <i>inpostauthor:<\/i>, <i>blogurl:<\/i>, more at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/help\/about_blogsearch.html\">FAQ<\/a>.<br \/>\n<B>UPDATE:<\/B> <a href=\"http:\/\/radio.weblogs.com\/0001011\/\">Scoble<\/a> is doing some comparisons between google and others, check his blog for new entries but so far see these: <a href=\"http:\/\/radio.weblogs.com\/0001011\/2005\/09\/14.html#a11152\">1<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/radio.weblogs.com\/0001011\/2005\/09\/14.html#a11153\">2<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/radio.weblogs.com\/0001011\/2005\/09\/14.html#a11155\">3<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It seems my wishes has come true and Google has finally launched a Blogsearch service.
